SORBITOL 70% SOLUTION USP FCC - ADM, is a clear, colorless, odorless aqueous solution containing about 71% total solids, primarily D-Sorbitol with small amounts of mannitol and other polyhydric alcohols. It serves as an excellent humectant in a variety of products, including confections, cosmetics, tobacco, and adhesives. It adds body and flavor to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, certain beverages, and foods. Due to its sweet but non-cariogenic nature, it is used in sugar-free foods, dentifrices, and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, it functions as a plasticizer, stabilizer, and raw material in the production of sorbitan esters, polysorbates, and polyurethanes.
