DOWANOL PMA GLYCOL ETHER ACETATE STD

DOWANOL PMA GLYCOL ETHER ACETATE STD is the glycol ether with the lowest viscosity among the entire line of Dowanol glycol ethers (1.1 centipoise at 25°C), offering exceptional viscosity reduction. With the remaining OH group capped with an acetate group, its polarity is reduced, contributing to viscosity reduction. This acetate group also eliminates reactive hydrogen from the OH group, making Dowanol PMA an excellent solvent choice for urethanes and other proton-sensitive systems. This relatively fast-evaporating glycol ether sets a performance standard in high-solids, solvent-borne systems, providing excellent active solvency for a wide range of resin types, including acrylics, epoxies, alkyds, polyesters, and more.
