SDA-40B 200 PROOF - BIOURJA Ethanol production is carried out through cereal grain, primarily corn, starch hydrolysis using an enzymatic process to convert the starch to sugar. Yeast is used to convert the sugar to alcohol through batch type fermentation. The primary distillation system strips the alcohol from the mash while additional distillation systems purify the alcohol. . Appropriate denaturants are added to make the resulting blend non-potable. SDA-40B 200 PROOF may be used in various applications as specified under 27 CFR 21.
