SULFAMIC ACID - PT LAUTAN is a dry, non-volatile, non-hygroscopic, odorless, white crystalline solid with outstanding stability. It can be stored in the laboratory for years without change. It is moderately soluble in water, forming a strongly acidic solution comparable in acidity to strong mineral acids, but is easily handled and stored in dry form. At room temperature, dilute aqueous solutions of sulfamic acid are stable for extended periods, though rapid hydrolysis occurs at elevated temperatures. Its solution is less corrosive to metals compared to other mineral acids.

  • Compared to acetic acid and hydrochloric acid, it has no objectionable odor; therefore, it can be used as a substitute for those acids.

  • For hard water scales removal from cooling tower systems and evaporative condensers and rust removal from air conditioners.
  • For beer stone removal from brewery equipment, glass lined tanks, kettle and open beer coolers.
  • Bleaching process in pulp & paper industries.
  • Cleaning agent for chemical process industries equipments (steam boilers, condensers, heat exchanges, jacketed equipment, and piping).
  • Fracturing fluid in oil drilling.
