Uses: Trilon® BS and its salts are used where high purity is required.
    Application:

    • Soaps: In applications where the sodium ion is undesirable, Trilon® BS acts as a water softener, foam booster.
    • Electroplating: Trilon® BS can be used in electroplating baths instead of sodium cyanide to improve deposition at the cathode and promote the reaction at the anode. Sodium salts prepared from Trilon® BS also improve the stability of electrolytes by sequestering the traces of heavy metals that always find their way into electroplating baths.
    • Germicides/Detergent Sanitizers: In detergent sanitizers, Trilon® BS boosts the germicidal activity of quaternary ammonium compounds.
    • Rubber: Trilon® BS can be employed in many stages of rubber processing due to the compatibility of rubber with Trilon® BS salts, i.e. cleaning natural latex, stabilizing natural latex, cleaning and wetting pigments and fillers before dispersing them in rubber, cleaning and preimpregnating textiles and other substrates for coating or impregnating with rubber.
    • Photography: Trilon® BS is a component of concentrated developers and bleaching baths.
    • Agriculture & Horticulture: Trilon® BS is used in the manufacture of chelated micronutrients.
